: The new Wonderware Historian Version 9.0

Wonderware recently announced the release of the Wonderware Historian Version 9.0 (formerly the IndustrialSQL Server)Wonderware Historian is a high performance, real-time historian and Web Content Server for the factory or industrial operation. Wonderware Historian is an extension to Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2000/2005, acquiring plant data at dramatically increased speeds, reducing data storage volumes, and integrating plant data with event, summary, production and configuration data.

The Wonderware Historian was the first, large volume plant data historian to marry a high speed data acquisition and storage system to a traditional relational database management system allowing easy access to plant data using open database standards such as SQL, ODBC and others.  The Wonderware Historian is designed to collect a wide variety of operations data, at full resolution and very high data rates, store this data for an extended period of time, and deliver it for reporting, analysis and visualization.

A significant addition to the Wonderware Historian, Information Server v3.0 provides a complete web solution for building and deploying an enterprise-wide manufacturing information website. From HMI process graphic displays to drill down data tables from real-time data trends to rich production reports, Information Server v3.0 has been designed to deliver highly focused plant performance information to everyone in the plant. Additionally, the Information Server is an integral part of Wonderware’s innovative System Platform - the industry’s first fully integrated industrial automation development environment.
