wCMS - InTouch Change Management

 

Ever wondered what was happening earlier today, yesterday or even last week? Do you know what changed out on your plant floor InTouch nodes?

 

You will with wCMS. Whenever someone makes a change to your node / application, an e-mail can be automatically sent to interested or critical personnel. The email contains links to complete web-based comparisons that show line by line differences in scripts and the tag name database, as well as identifying which windows have changed.

 

wCMS is built on AutoSave, the industry leading automation Change Management System (CMS) from MDT Software, and is an InTouch specific implementation that provides a complete change management solution for all your InTouch nodes / applications.

How wCMS works.

wCMS becomes the user interface when developing or changing your plant’s Wonderware nodes / applications. When you open an InTouch application via wCMS the application becomes locked to ensure others can’t make changes at the same time.

 

Once you have completed your edits, wCMS prompts for a revision note, creates a new current copy, saves the old one and unlocks the program, providing complete version control and disaster recovery.

Since wCMS is built on MDT's AutoSave, you can easily upgrade to the full AutoSave CMS and add change management to the rest of your automation devices and plant floor applications.

 

MDT has Advanced Plugins for most of the PLC / HMI / Robots / CNCs / SCADA systems in use, including Rockwell, Siemens, GE, Schneider/Modicon, and has Universal modules for almost anything else.
