Q-mation/STRONGARM Move to a New Facility - Double the Space

Due to the tremendous growth in sales over the past two years, it was necessary for Q-mation and STRONGARM to move to a new location that could accommodate the need for additional employees and additional production capacity for the STRONGARM product line.  Our new 30,000Sq. foot facility in Horsham, PA provides just that capacity and provides the ability to flexibly expand and reconfigure as sales of STRONGARM's and Wonderware's offerings continue to grow.

The majority of this new space is consumed by the state of the art production facility needed to manufacture the expanding line of products from STRONGARM.  This new space separates production into areas specific to the function being performed allowing for workspace specialization and improved workflow for the STRONGARM manufacturing process; a critical element as STRONGARM ships more and more systems.

Our new fabrication area accommodates our CNC laser and brake machines as well as our HAAS CNC milling machines used to manufacture all of the custom enclosures and bezels and fittings used in a STRONGARM system.  All STRONGARM systems start with an engineered design and a piece of steel that is molded into the final system.  STRONGARM's computer assisted systems allow these designs to take shape with extreme precision and tight tolerances.  Once cut, the steel moves along to our expanded welding, grinding and polishing areas to finish off all of the custom enclosures that are part of every STRONGARM system.

From cutting welding and grinding, painted systems move to our new coatings area to be painted or powder coated while Stainless systems move directly to our expanded assembly area where the enclosures are studded and outfitted with Vertica Arms, doors, displays, computers and other items required to complete the system.  Technicians complete their work orders and incorporate custom equipment such as rails, brackets, etc. as the total enclosure is completed. Here in final assembly, the completed systems are inspected by STRONGARM's QA department for final approval to ship.

The addition of our new electronics lab allows for the fabrication of our displays and touchscreens in a clean environment.  State-of-the-art electronics for STRONGARM 15.1", 18.1" and 21.3" displays are merged with our industrialized painted or stainless bezels to provide the popular and rugged STRONGARM display.  These displays may incorporate touchscreen technology (Resistive, NFI, SAW or Infrared) as well as microbox PCs or Industrial thin clients to complete the system.  All units are lab tested prior to installation in a larger system or prior to shipment to a customer.

Of course, our new facility also incorporates expanded office space to accommodate all of the STRONGARM design team as well as all of the Q-mation sales and support staff.  With new training and demonstration facilities, 425 Caredean Drive provides us with a state of the art headquarters from which to service our expanding customer base.  If you or your customers are ever in the area, stop by;  we would be happy to provide you with a tour or a demonstration of the world class products that are the core to our business.
