Options From STRONGARM You May Not Be Aware Of

Integrated vs. remote computers

Most companies know that STRONGARM makes the most advanced industrially hardened displays in the industry but the offering does not stop there.  Displays are paired with computers and Q-mation provides our customers with integrated small footprint computers or thin clients to turn the typical STRONGARM display station into a complete plant floor system.  Using industrial brick style PCs, we are able to provide systems that are no larger than those that are display only or display with KVM but incorporate Pentium grade computers with CD-ROMs, Ethernet, multiple serial ports, etc. 

The largest of these computers are 9" X 13" X 4" and come with a variety of options.  Additionally, these units are rated for extreme temperatures and as such, reduce the need for additional cooling in most environments.  Many customers are now exclusively using our low power PC option which is perfect for stainless steel enclosures in warm environments.  These tiny units run the Intel ULV 650Mhz processor and generate minimal heat in a unit that is capable of running almost any application.  Whichever your option, Q-mation will set up (we will even load your Wonderware software applications) and test each unit to insure that they work as expected when they arrive at your door.

Of course if your application requires, we still offer a wide variety of KVM and KVMT extenders for those applications that need remote PC capability. The important issue to remember is that we have the computing option to suit your specific needs.

Peripherals

Many systems require additional peripherals to complete their application.  Often pre-weigh applications, QA test stations and other specialized systems require software and hardware to allow these systems to interface to corporate inventory and lab systems.  Unlike other standard "box" providers, Q-mation and STRONGARM strive to provide these components and integrate them together to insure that our customers have everything they need when the system is received.  Scanners, scales, communication cards and bulkhead communication connectors for external devices are all specified, provided and tested to meet a customer's specific required functionality.
